Lavishly Lush

So I know I'm a bit late to the whole Lush scene and I wish I could go back in time to 15 year old me to knock some sense into myself. Its kind of hard to miss it, whenever I would pass by one in a shopping mall my nose would be assaulted by an assortment of smells. Not to mention the staff always seemed to be up and about talking to customers and any social interaction at 15 made me more than a little awkward.

Last week I finally braced myself and walked in and to my surprise I was immediately greeted. The store was bustling with activity but someone still took notice of my presence and acknowledged me accordingly. So after an awkward not conversation, I walked over to the bath bomb section. I probably looked extremely lost as one of the staff helped me through the different bath bombs and scents. In the end I picked up two bath bombs - Dragon's Egg and Avobath.

Both of them smelt AMAZING. They were both on the fruity side but with a fizzy touch that tickled your nose. I haven't had the chance to use the Avobath yet but the Dragon's Egg was absolutely amazing. It felt moisturising, its scent filled the whole bathroom and left the water the colour of a beautiful sunset before settling to a bright orange. If the water wasn't freezing cold I would've stayed in the bathtub for hours. I am not going to lie though, they were both on the pricey side and it took me a long time before I decided to buy them, but if you ask me if I regretting buying them, the answer would definitely be no.

A favourite of mine would have to be the massage bars. They were smart considering there was no need for a container and all of them smelt amazing. My favourite had to be From Dusk 'Til Dawn. It has a citrus-y scent (can you tell my weakness is citrus scents?) that stays on your skin for HOURS, not to mention it leaves your skin super soft.

There is so much more to see and scents to explore. I'm already on my toes in excitement for the next time I go because there's so much to try. The company itself is also quite interesting considering its 100% vegetarian and tries its best to be environmentally friendly. Nothing sold is tested on animals and its all homemade. Trust me, don't be like 15 year old me, go in and check the store out. What's there to lose?
